worktommarriagesupposedcherylWelcome to Episode 17!
We hear of lot of repeated advice about how we’re supposed to make our relationships work. You’ve got to communicate, you’ve got to build trust and develop teamwork - and you’re never supposed to go to bed angry for some reason.
One of the reasons we created this show is to explore what people really mean when they say these things. Trust, specifically, is quite tricky to pin down. Peter Pearson and Ellyn Bader - the couples therapists in episode 11 did the best job of giving us an academic definition of the term “Trust” so far; today’s couple–Cheryl and Tom Clifford–do the best job of exemplifying it.
Enjoy the show!
