USPS, CBP get ‘incomplete’ from Congress on stopping opioids in the mail

The Postal Service isn’t getting all the information it needs to target opioids in the mail. USPS data shows it had advanced electronic data for two-thirds of international packages at the start of this year, but those numbers have fallen in recent months, and the agency won’t get to 100% by the start of next year. That's a requirement of the Synthetics Trafficking and Overdose Prevention (STOP) Act. Now USPS is warning of disruptions in the flow of international mail.
